and Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) digital

Each TDMA phone is equipped with an ESN number. This

frequency and only phones designed for this may be
connected to the network; so, when buying your TDMA
phone make sure it is 800 MHz or Dual Band.
GSM
GSM is a European standard for digital mobile service
and is used predominantly worldwide. The service is
used on different bands, 850, 900, 1800 and 1900;
with 900 and 1800 being commonly used in Europe; 850
and 1900 in the Americas.
With the GSM system is based on a Subscriber Identity
Module (SIM). The SIM contains an International Mobile
Subscriber Identity (IMSI), which is used to activate
and terminate an account. The SIM also allows you
to store phone numbers and user settings. This feature
makes replacing a GSM phone easy; simply remove the
SIM and insert it into a new phone.
TelCell’s GSM network operates on 900 band,
so when buying your GSM phone make sure it designed
